  • Overview

    The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting with the primary focus being on Customer Loans & Rebate Contracts. This person will also support various process improvement projects and corporate initiatives for the Accounting Department. This position is expected to perform at a high level of accountability and reliability of work.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain and track customer loans and rebate contracts within Microsoft Dynamics Navision
    • Prepare various month-end reconciliations related to customer loans and several general ledger accounts
    • Prepare various monthly & quarterly reports showing the current state of each customer loan and rebate contract
    • Prepare various financial statements for corporate departments and business units
    • Calculation of monthly & quarterly rebate deals
    • Audit customers to ensure they are in compliance with their loan or rebate contract
    • Report month-end figures into our global consolidation tool
    • Perform variance analysis for numerous general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
    • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of department goals, policies, and operating procedures
    • Develop in-depth knowledge of various complex business processes and understand their impact on various transactional systems and related accounting.  Where automation is lacking, ensure manual processes with proper controls and documentation exist to support accounting.
    • Prepare and/or review journal entries to support accurate and timely accounting month-end close.  This includes reviewing transactional sources and verification of system interfaces where applicable to ensure data integrity
    • Perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as directed by manager, on an ad hoc basis

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Minimum 2-3 years working in the Accounting/Finance field
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
      • (Manipulation and creation of Pivot Tables and utilization of V-Lookups & Sum-Ifs)
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results driven
    • Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
