    The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to provide consulting services to a select group of customers designed to increase the Oticon share of business in the practice and increase the overall sales and profitability of the practice. These customers will come from both clinical and retail accounts.



     We are looking for candidates located anywhere in the US but willing to travel 20%





    Account Retention and Development

    • Enhance share of wallet within current sales channels
    • Create programs to secure incremental sales on a long term basis 

    Financial Management

    • Review initial finance documents from customers
    • Plan and manage budgets and cash flow
    • Write annual business plans 

    Training and Education

    • Create and execute sales training programs
    • Create and execute office management programs 


    • Communicate with customers and Oticon staff within 24 hours of receiving voice or email
    • Travel to visit sellers face to face. Up to 15% overnight travel is often expected
    • Submit all expense reports no later than 7 days after the week of travel using the approved expense report form and receipts
    • Complete special projects or assignments as may be assigned from time to time
    • Assist with the integration of newly acquired entities
    • Manage and execute new customer integration into the Oticon order fullfilment channel.


    • This position reports to the Director of Business Development. 

    Qualification Requirements


    Communication & Interpersonal Skills

    • Clearly communicate in person, on the phone, and through e-mail in a professional customer oriented fashion
    • Follow directions from supervisor and accept constructive criticism
    • Organize their schedule, travel, and budget in a professional and cost efficient manner 

    Technical Skills

    • Utilize proficiency software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Navision,, Blueprint/
    • Understanding of Income statement, and balance sheet, and cash flow statements
    • Understanding of contract and UCC filings 

    Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Participates in webinars, sales trainings and affinity meetings.
    • Ongoing Management of Owners
      • Establishes norms of tracking and key metrics
      • Establishes KPI’s for the entity and staff
      • Creates detailed business plan around the budget
      • Initial visits every 8 weeks, then quarterly
      • Sales and Office personnel training
      • Outreach programs
      • Long term strategic and tactical marketing plan
      • Review and improve internet presence
      • Monitor and measure performance
    • Management of the Managers
      • Training and education of managers
    • Sales training and Front office training of staff
    • Run Network meeting for select customers
    • Run annual budget meetings







    Education and/or Experience

    • A Bachelor degree or higher is required
    • 4+ years consulting , management, and finance experience required
    • Specific industry experience is preferred
