MAICO Diagnostics, (Medical Acoustic Instrument Company), has been serving hearing healthcare professionals, and school nurses since 1937. Known as a leader in hearing screening devices, our products are developed to be portable and easy to use. In the past few years MAICO has embarked upon a surge of redesigned products in our screening and diagnostic audiometer line as well as our impedance product lines. Advancements in MAICO newborn screening products, incorporate ABR technology and our patented CE-Chirp® stimulus, which reduces baby test times and medical waste with no costly disposables. Today our products are lighter, faster and more robust. William Demant Holding Corporation (WDH) is a Denmark-based manufacturer of Hearing-related products and services. WDH is comprised of multiple market-leading Hearing Aid and Audiology Screening and Diagnostic equipment/service companies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to grow catalog and government sales by 10-20% per year.
  • Develop and implement strategies for participation in tradeshows and sales conferences – attending approximately 10 shows per year.
  • Provide product training to internal and external customers.
  • Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships providing unparalleled service, sales and administrative support.
  • Collaborate with leadership, customer service, marketing and other departments to support catalog sales & marketing efforts.
  • Meet or exceed all sales goals in assigned territory.
  • Maintain accurate, accessible records of all customer contacts and transactions.
  • Keep product knowledge current, attending all required training.
  • Handle product usage calls and provide immediate support to all internal and external customers.
  • Sales administration duties are performed accurately and on time, preparing reports as required.
  • Performs additional duties with frequent interruptions or distractions, adjusting priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 Years of relevant work experience in medical equipment or supplies catalog sales required
  • High School/GED equivalent required
  • Post-secondary business degree is preferred
  • Confident, effective communicator with exemplary telephone skills; Fluent in English. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite; advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • 20% travel requirement

Physical & Visual Acuity Requirements

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 50 (some tradeshow boxes or display structures weigh this much) pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
