The Sales and Marketing Specialist will support the efforts of our Marketing and Sales Leadership creating and managing reports, forecasts, programs, while supporting needs of the field sales team.    The Sales and Marketing Specialist is a vital member of our team and is responsible for keeping everything organized and running on time. This position is a high-profile role within the organization with interaction between senior leadership, the sales managers and outside vendors.

Responsibilities

Event Management Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary "go to" person responsible for the scheduling, booking and coordination all national/corporate run sales related meetings, tradeshows, conferences and training events
  • Organizes all logistics related to facility and space selection, room set-up, audio-visual and technology needs, coordination of food and beverage needs, and liaising with the food service provider, attendee arrival and flow process, hotel room blocks, ground transportation, and related activities, in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
  • Provides accurate and timely information to all departments for planning and execution, and liaises with departments to ensure all details and last-minute changes are addressed; monitors room set ups to ensure accuracy of client requests
  • Provides exceptional customer service throughout the event coordination process and in all interactions
  • Assists management with a variety of duties, which may include, but are not limited to, coordinating off-site events, assisting with the department budget and monitoring expenses and other projects within the marketing and sales

Marketing Support Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to a busy, yet evolving marketing department. The team works on a variety of projects involving lead generation, website design and management, marcom, promotional production and management of inventory, events, content development and social media are just a few examples
  • Assist with internal and external event planning efforts including all logistics
  • Research, coordinate orders, and manage inventory for marketing collateral
  • Support the creation and coordination of internal and external newsletters
  • Support the writing and proofing of content for internal and external communications as needed
  • Assists Marketing team with Special Projects

Sales Support Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute sales and service events
  • Maintain sales reports and prepare sales activity reports
  • Assist with development of National account proposals
  • Regular communication with sales team on company updates
  • Administer sales contests
  • Develop and communicate CRM reports to the sales team
  • Assist with developing and communicating sales pipeline and forecast reports.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skill and Experience

  • 3-5 Years of relevant work experience in sales & marketing required, preferably coordinating events and meetings in a corporate marketing department
  • 4 Year Degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Experience working with CRMs (Hubspot, Microsoft Dynamics) preferred
  • Proven ability to manage projects, identify bottlenecks, collaborate to streamline processes and be creative in working with cross-functional teams
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills (written and verbal)
  • Occasional Travel required (10%)

 Physical & Visual Acuity Requirements

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
