Overview

The Oticon Field Trainer is responsible for training and educating hearing healthcare providers at William Demant’s One Retail locations on Oticon products and services. The role reports to the Manager of Field Training and is a part of Oticon’s Learning and Development Team.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Extensive travel required to conduct workshops, seminars, and one-on-one coaching sessions with target customers at their respective locations. Travel is national in scope.  
  • Provide training to practitioners on how to administer and convey the features and benefits of Oticon’s advanced hearing healthcare products.
  • Conduct follow-up visits in target customers’ offices to improve counseling, fitting, and fine-tuning of advanced Oticon products.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual Sales meetings to provide inputs on the direction of sales and training efforts.
  • Participate in training meetings as necessary to shape and influence the development of effective training materials.
  • Communicate with customers and Oticon staff within the following standards:
    • Voice-mail and E-mail returned within 1 day.
    • Call reporting sent within 2 days.

Qualifications

  • A Masters degree in Audiology or Aud. D required.

    5+ years of experience selling hearing devices to consumers, and/or 2+ years of experience as an Account Manager for a hearing healthcare manufacturer.
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
  • A solid understanding of how hearing healthcare clinics operate and drive revenue.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • High energy, enthusiastic, motivational training/ coaching style.
  • Prior experience in delivering training in a classroom environment strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel nationally 80% of the time.
